Parent Pause

The art of seeing again

Listen Later

Children have a way of stopping the world.A ladybird, a strange-shaped cloud, a pattern in the carpet, they notice what we’ve stopped seeing. Somewhere along the way, we traded wonder for efficiency. We glance, label, move on and miss the tiny miracles unfolding right beside us.

This week Parent Pause is a reminder to borrow your child’s eyes.To slow down long enough to see what they see - not to teach, but to notice.Because when we match their pace, time stretches. The noise quiets. And suddenly, the world looks alive again, in full, high-definition colour.

Sometimes rest isn’t about stopping. It’s about seeing differently.
