Today's episode deals with the need for goals. Like always, we need to sequence out the details so that criteria are clearly outlined and nothing is left for translation.

Daniel outlines:

-The differences between pastimes and hobbies.

-How time and space are related to goals.

-How executive function relates to the process of goal making.

We discuss how a young thinker might be able to answer an open-ended question logically by defining the terms, making connections, and setting boundaries. We also talk about the importance of placing experiences and perspectives and the thoughts on those experiences and perspectives in a mental "database."

We talk about how to practice more proficiently so that you can get more out of your time. There are always new ways to practice and new studies coming out about how to practice, so here are some other methods you might want to try.

We talk about what truth is and whether or not truth should be objective and universal. What does it mean to have a personal truth and is it actually philosophically correct to say that personal truths exist?

How can we lengthen out our responses to the questions that are being asked?

*There is a brief mention of suicide when we briefly talk about the stoics.

Join us as we discuss logic, epistemology and metaphysics and ethics. This is part 1. Part 2 will coming at a later time.

This question will always be asked by students. The question shouldn't be "what can I be?" It should be "what problem should/ can I solve?"

Tests provide metrics but only if used correctly and if the test scores are available immediately. Today we talked about some tests that fourth 8th and 12th graders took and the results that followed. Spoiler alert: The students scored lower than before. BUT, I don't think it's entirely the students' fault. I think during this time tests and assessments will be overhauled and looked at again in terms of Effectiveness and efficiency, not markers.
