  • Women in the Public Sphere

💬 Should Women Speak in the Public Sphere? A Biblical Response to Joel Webbon | Christian Women & Cultural Commentary

In today’s episode, I respond to a recent viral clip of Joel Webbon stating that women shouldn't have a role in the public sphere—not even podcasting. As someone who agrees with much of Joel’s positions, I believe this stance deserves a gracious, scriptural challenge.

Key points I'll be making are:

✅ Why male leadership failures often force women into the spotlight
✅ How Megan Basham and others are stepping up where many men haven’t
✅ Why “just because a woman can, doesn’t mean she should."
✅ How women can faithfully serve the Body of Christ without usurping God’s design

⚔️ This is not about promoting feminism or justifying rebellion. It’s about calling godly men to lead—and acknowledging that, until they do, women may be filling gaps not out of pride, but out of obedience and necessity.

  • Women Misleading Women

Welcome to episode 3! In today's episode, I sit down with a seasoned fitness expert to explore how the woman-led body positivity movement is misleading other women. As someone who has battled obesity my entire life, this episode hits too close to home.

While the movement has gained widespread popularity for promoting self-love and acceptance, we narrow down the ways "toxic body positivity" negatively affects women.

We are called in Scripture to honor our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit. We also unpack the subtle dangers of idolizing body positivity at the expense of physical health and spiritual growth.

Join us as we discuss the cultural pressures women face, the impact of social media on body image, and how a balanced approach rooted in biblical truth can offer real freedom—freedom that leads to both physical well-being and spiritual wholeness. This episode is for anyone seeking clarity on how to navigate the tension between self-acceptance, personal health, and the truth of God’s design for our bodies.

So, grab a cuppa, and get ready for me to be a bit spicy!

  • Episode 2: Nihilism Exposed (It's Dumb and it Sucks!)

Welcome to the second episode of The Ash Brews Podcast! Today, a very special guest and I will be talking about nihilism--an ideology that pretends to challenge the foundations of truth, meaning, and reality. We'll be discussing how it's reflected in everything from literature and art to modern video games.

Spoiler Alert: I'm not an advocate of such a view.
