FRIENDS! I have been counting down to this day for quite some time. I’ll be honest, I’ve got that nervous-excited-energy-thing going on, because what I’m sharing with you is so precious to me.
This is the Bible study I wrote during the summer of 2024 and then led at church in the fall of that year, and now I am releasing it into the world. (The recordings were done in the fall as well — I came home and recorded each lesson after teaching it live each week. We have pollen to thank for the hint of congestion in the first few.)
Because while it is so precious to me, it is in no way just for me. Quite the opposite, actually. I hope it becomes so precious to you too. Not the study itself, but what happens in your heart and in your mind along the way.
This is week one of Where Else? See Jesus. Know God. This week, we are focusing on the truth that when we look at Jesus, we see the glory of God.
Each week, there will be two takeaways: a passage of scripture to look through and a question to help us look within. My hope is that the scripture will be the lens through which we view our week, and the question will open our spiritual eyes to see the ways God is moving around us and pursuing us.
Look Through: Hebrews 1:1-3
Look Within: Who is God to me, and how does God feel about me?
That’s a snapshot of my assistant and me in the middle of structuring the study. If you want to know more about how it all came together, this is for you.
I’m so glad you’re here and would be honored if you’d invite some friends or family or coworkers or neighbors or strangers or enemies to join you. It’s going to be a really special 11 weeks.
