This is Melanie. I'm the creator and performer of Low Light, an ongoing, narrated audio drama - a bit like an audiobook soap. It's about the repercussions of the death of a storyteller who had the power to actualize images and ideas into the real world. It's told in a dry, down-to-earth, northern English way rather than fantasy style that you might expect. We explore what happens to the other storyteller who's left behind and his friends and neighbors who all live in a small area of a northern English town. And we find out what really goes on day-to-day under the surface.
It's quite a simple production. There's only a few sound effects and that kind of thing. But it still has big ambitions and there's action and lots of comedy and a bit of slapstick as well.

This is Waymon Alexander, Creator of The Liminal Lands which is a suspense slash horror serialized audio drama about a man who suffers an accident, and wakes to find himself seemingly the only person left . . .anywhere, and his journey to not only find out what happened, but to also find his family in the process. This is episode 5 of season 1, entitled Close Calls. In this episode the unnamed main character is trapped in an empty house while a dark and seemingly supernatural creature that's been stalking him tries to break in. I had no experience in. . . well any aspect of this, and as a 1 man production, with some occasional cameo voices of my family, this has been one of the most challenging ventures I've ever undertaken. But, it has also been incredibly rewarding, and I get better at, and learn someone new about, every aspect of this project seemingly every day.
