It's a comedy! Anyway, this is Episode #203, the third episode of our second season, and it's called The True Crime Podcast's The Thing. This is the episode where we kick off our big mystery for Season 2, which is looking into a young woman who believes her father was murdered, and she believes it was done to achieve the sale of a ranch she believes to be rightfully hers. If you think this sounds a little bit like Hamlet, that's entirely coincidental! We had no idea that was happening! We did not mean to do that at all! Anyway, if you've never listened to our show before, Bea Casely is a journalist, Brenda Bentley is a detective, they attempt to solve cold cases, and in this episode they meet Dana Hamill, who is our analogue for... This is Volonda, also known as Hem Cleveland, I am the Dungeon M’lady and Producer of The Lucky Die, which is about utilising the drama inherent in the ruleset of a roleplaying game to tell a dark and dramaticly improvised tale. The Lucky Die, or TLD as we shorten it to, is set in a fantasy world, with magic, elves, mystics and thieves, and focuses on four heavily flawed characters. 

Our accidental heroes, almost all at the end of a hangman's noose and the other drowning in self pity and addiction, now fight to try and resurrect a long dead legendary hero. Once considered murderers and thieves, they now hold the fate of the world in their hands as they try to stop the death of the gods in this apocalypse, and try to make right the wrongs in their own lives. 

Edited for audio quality, wonderfully voice acted and beautifully scored in house, TLD is a dark, improvised, fantasy world that really showcases how beautiful a tale told by five friends playing a game across the globe, can really be.

This is episode 132, Community Service, and it covers the resurrection of an in-world friend, and the price the characters must pay to bring a father back home to his daughter. It also features a look into depression and addiction, as one of the characters talks about their problems, and we, as players, talk about our own battles with it and where to get help if you seek it.
