This is Karin Heimdahl, creator of Y2K, which is about two long-distance friends in the year 2000 and the modern day student who finds their voicemails and turns them into a podcast. In 2000, best friends Jess, in Auckland, New Zealand, and Kat, in London, UK, try to support each other across the oceans in a time of dial-up internet and extraordinarily expensive long-distance phone calls. In 2020, paleontology student Olivia starts a podcast on impulse, and finds herself on a year-long journey of discovery. It’s a drama about a year in all of their lives when *everything* happens. Y2K is a weekly show all through 2020, with the final and 54th episode of season 1 dropping on January 1st 2021. This is a series of clips from different episodes to hopefully showcase what Y2K is all about. We begin and end with Olivia from episode 1 and episode 20, and in between we hear all of our 12 characters in clips from episodes 6, 7, 13, 14, 18, 19, 22 and 26. Liberty is a series of stories that exist in the Liberty Podcast feed and that all take place within the glorious colony-world of Atrius, and The Tower is a 5-part miniseries about the strange happenings when a couple moves into a new apartment that may have something of a history. You are about to hear episode 2 of The Tower. Previously the couple Dr. Flora Fox and Mr. Gal Alverado have had their child permits approved and moved into a new apartment in the outer districts. Gal began to experience some strange happenings when left alone at night, and we're going to start the story after he wakes up the following morning from this particularly strange incident.
