I’m Gerard O’Brien voice actor with the Hawk Chronicles, a show about the Baltimore PD, and the Inter Galactic Force. Like many of the voice talents in the show, I play several characters. My nomination is for Dmitri Karloff, A Russian for hire thug. 

Another voice talent who does many characters is Jon Macinta. He’s nominated for Robonaut 4, the computer aboard the Boldibar Space Station.

Chris Weissenborn brings his New Jersey attitude to the character Nate the Fillion Captain of the space cargo vessel Mercury. 

Steve Long is not only the writer and producer and sound engineer for the Hawk Chronicles, but he is also Agent Jim Barnes. 

Finally our two professional British actors round out our nominations. Clive Ward is an actor of stage , television and movies is nominated in the category of supporting actor as Jaffra the Bounty Hunter.

And in the lead role, as Director Cage of MI6  (Em-Eye-6).

Simon Fisher-Becker, mostly known for his roles in Harry Potter, Doctor Who and the Britcom Puppy Love. He is nominated in a support role as the villain Dracmar. And in the lead role of Agent Tony Simon, also an agent of MI6.

Hey there, folks! Kevin La Porte here; Dungeon Master for The Session Tapes. We’re an actual-play or live-play roleplaying game podcast, using the Dungeons and Dragons 5 th Edition ruleset. 

Our show is recorded live on the tabletop; with one microphone set between 4 players. This heightens the experience of being “in the moment”; nothing is scripted, no clues or hints are given to the players beforehand. What happens in the audio is the first experience the players have of the world.

We try to preserve this experience by keeping the cutting to a minimum. The only editing we do is to remove long silences, disruptions to the game-flow, or content which is irrelevant to the session itself.

Once each Session is edited, I go back into the episode and insert a Voiceover; a “colour commentary” from the Dungeon Master’s Point of view. Sometimes it’s jokes, sometimes its exposition, and sometimes it’s explaining the in-jokes that our group has developed over years of playing together.

The Session I’m going to play for you now is called “Thugs, Fails and Puppy Dog Tales”. It is Session number 10 of our “Children of the Covenant” campaign, which began in June of this year and is currently ongoing.

The core idea behind the campaign is that our characters would all be supporting players in any other fantasy epic, but they have been thrust into the limelight by circumstance. As a result, they have discovered strange abilities buried deep within themselves.

Doctor Jeffry Glazer, played by Steve Nicholson, is a medic at local refugee camp… who is beginning to discover he is something more than human. And his non-human side has a host of otherworldly powers.

Kerry La Porte plays Edda Faerstone, better known as “Peg”. Treated as a second-class citizen by her dwarven family due to a physical disability, Peg has set off on her own to breed mules and cultivate rare herbs; in the process of which she is discovering a strange connection to the land itself.

Rounding out the party is Platan, a gnomish wizard with a chequered past. Born and raised during dark times in the Covenant’s history, Tan, as he is known, has fallen in with a bad crowd and done some things he is not particularly proud of. 

The campaign takes place in our own custom world of Ythaeris, in a country called “The Witchgrave Covenant”. The Covenant is a dark fantasy setting, heavily influenced by Celtic Myth, Colonial America, and the Pioneer West.
