The Ad Lib

There are many great lines in movies, television, and yes, podcast dramas. Everyone remembers: “I’ll be back,” “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse,” and “May the force be with you.”

Sometimes, the most memorable lines are the ones that don’t appear in the script. They’re ad libs that actors come up with by inhabiting the character they’re playing. Actors become one with the character’s personality, so the line comes out as if by magic. It’s natural, unprompted, and it’s exactly what the character should be saying.

At AudioZoo, we’re lucky enough to have an ensemble cast of very talented actors from all over the world; one of them is Sidney Kean, a multi-talented actor from Great Britain who’s ad-libbed one of the best lines in the soon-to-be-released Season 3 of The Collector, an audio podcast drama.

The ad lib was so good that Sash Mutze, the man in charge of sound design at AudioZoo, came up with some clever bonus material. We think our Neo-Noir crime, spy, and detective audience will love it. If you’re offended by some spicy language, then the attached is not for you, but if you like a little Tarantino mixed with your Jake Gittes, then give it a listen.

Every story deserves great theme music, and The Story of... series is no exception. The Story of: Amaedus Nickels harkens back to a more innocent time, and so the music reflects that. Sit back and enjoy The Story of: Amaedus Nickels' theme music.

Every good series deserves great theme music: The Collector Theme Song.
