It's time once again for the only Austin rugby focused podcast in all the land. Almost 7 months have passed since the end of MLR 2020 due to COVID 19. While on-field activities have stopped, off-field news has been plentiful for the Gilgronis. There is no better way to kick off a new season than to bring on the new head and assistant coaches for the AGs. On the show, we welcome Sam Harris (HC) and Mark Gerrard (AC) to talk about their careers, how they got to Austin, and gain insight on what AG fans can expect in 2021. This month the TRM speaks with Gordon Hanlon about rethinking how we approach training and game time strategies and his current data series on the TRU (Texas Rugby Union) social media pages. The guys pick their Top Three headlines of the past month and give a quick update on COVID-19 and the return to organized rugby.

We meet up with Bill Overton from the Austin Huns and Bill Taute from the Austin Blacks to preview Round 2 of the 2020 Austin Darby. Highlighting 3 matches on Saturday at Nixon Lane, we learn all about what it takes to win. Then we cover the AGs vs OGs match in San Antonio as well as preview the Texas Cup match versus Houston, as Rodrick Waters joins us to talk about playing at home in front of family.

Episode 7 Is rocking and rolling as is Austin club rugby. Going 8-0 last week and the capped off with the Gilgronis snapping a 20 game losing streak. However not the way we wanted. We have Old Glory coming up and as always, lots of guests. 

After a week off due to the host being sick as a dog, we welcome Bill Overton (Huns HoF) for the first time to talk about the Huns and Huns Youth program. Justin Hale with ORC comes back to catch us up with the latest from the RR/Pflugerville team. Then we cover the Austin Gilgronis season so far and talk about the changes that are happening with the team with a rugby coaching legend and new Head of Rugby, Mick Byrne. 

Our weekly local roundup finds out how the Austin Huns faired against the Dallas Reds and looks forward to the matches this weekend. Then we meet up with LaRome White and Corey Jones to see how they are feeling with the kickoff to the Major League Rugby Season. Finally, we will give a brief preview of the matchup against Toronto. 

We catch up with Erika Persil with the Austin Valkyries to kick things off this week. Cover the Austin Derby between the Blacks and the Huns. But then...Austin becomes the talk on MLR, USA, and the international rugby community. What happened can only be described as EARTH-SHAKING! We bring on Aaron Castro from the Earful of Dirt Podcast to discuss the craziness in Austin, and then welcome Roland Suniula back to Austin. 

It's a massive week for rugby in Austin. 6 games, one day, one location. We kick-off our Black & Blue segment with Alex Rees (Huns) and Knute O'Donnell (Blacks), as we talk about the big games on the 25th. The podcast then features the first-ever returning MLR players to talk about 2019, the offseason, and the community outreach ahead of pre-season friendly against Colorado. 

It's 2020 and Austin area rugby is in full swing.
