A world exclusive: The new zine Riot Girl Manifesto
We get the first look at Zooki’s next big project, a brand new twelve page zine called Riot Girl Manifesto. It will debut in September in both print and online, with the intention of becoming a quarterly. She also reads the manifesto live in the episode, unpacking what it means, who it is for, and why it matters.

Austin’s new segment: Lyrics as Shakespeare Monologue
Austin debuts a brand new recurring segment where he reads band lyrics as though they were a dramatic Shakespearean monologue. Expect poetic pauses, iambic rhythm, and extra gravitas you did not know you needed. The first pick is an Ex Regrets track Burqini Kill that lands somewhere between howl and whisper.

Veronica shares the story behind her latest mixed-media piece, which is featured in the “Divine Timing” group exhibition opening Thursday, July 24 from 6 to 9 PM at Arc Gallery, located at 2602 Main Street, Deep Ellum, Dallas, TX 75226. She also previews her upcoming poetry reading at Poet Books on Friday, July 25, right down the street.

Then, the conversation turns to the surprise announcement that AC, drummer for Further North, is leaving the band to pursue his country project full-time. Also, Flip and The Combined Effort are now on an undetermined length hiatus. Austin and Veronica reflect on what this could mean for the bands, their friends involved, and the local scene.

They also recap Sweat Fest TX, highlighting the raw energy, rain-soaked chaos, and everything they loved (and survived) during the event.

This episode, we're getting rowdy with the Dallas punks, Die Würst! Joining us are vocalist Sean, the fiery frontman with a voice that could shatter glass, his cousin Matt who lays down the thunderous basslines, and guitarist Jesse, the riff maestro who injects pure chaos into their sound.

Die Würst have been making waves in the local scene, known for their electrifying live shows that morph from skate punk anthems to full-on hardcore mosh pits. We'll be talking about their upcoming EP, produced by a surprise guest – a member of the legendary Reliant K and Jesse tells us about his history in television production and the transition into the scene from California!
