Most of us truly struggle with believing that, but there’s God - still faithful and available to be that greatest friend.

There is a struggle for right and freedom, but the enemies aren’t who you think they are. And the fighting tactics aren’t what you think they are.

If you’re spiritually strong, it’s on you to do the difficult thing and go after the brother or sister caught in sin like Jesus told about in the parable of the 99 sheep.

No one enjoys doing it. A lot go about it with the wrong attitude.

They don’t need a verbal slapping around. They need someone to come to them gently while they’re in this weakened state.

So You Want God to Save YOU...But You Want Him to Destroy Others?

Most of us know Jonah disobeyed God and ended up in the gut of a great fish. Do you know how spiritually depraved this prophet really was?!?

He begged and pleaded for God to save him, and God did. When it came time for a wicked city to receive the same forgiveness after they repented - he hated it!! He was far more interested in Nineveh getting what it deserved than seeing them saved. It’s disgusting!

It’s just as disgusting when God’s children are more excited about wicked people getting what they’ve earned. If you hold that attitude, your relationship with God is in danger.

You have expectations of other people, but it’s much healthier and more godly to focus on what people can expect from you!

And if you focus selfishly on your expectations of the people around you, you’re setting yourself up for a lot of disappointment.

Some of you act like this is a victim competition at times - like you’ve suffered the worst. All your conversations center around what you have and are going through. You seem to always tell others you know what they’re going through. I’ve seen these Christians who are so hung up on their negative experiences. Many of them who may listen to this will think I’m talking about someone else too.

You need to take a long look at Jesus. Then you’ll know what suffering is. And if you think I’m only talking about the cross - you’re clueless.

The Most Misused Verse in the Bible (Philippians 4:13)

I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me...

Sometimes the “strengthens me” is left off to open it up to more possibilities. Sometimes the “through Christ” phrase is left out (scratching head). Sometimes it’s misapplied out of context.

You’ll hear this used to bolster a lot of things, but what is God saying to us here?

Maybe it isn’t the MOST misused. I don’t know. But let’s look at this thing word for word.
