Over the past few months, Iran has been engulfed in a wave of protests, sparked by the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was in police custody after being arrested by Iran’s “morality police” for improperly wearing a hijab, a traditional headscarf.
While not the first protest against the Iranian regime this year, it is unique in a number of respects, particularly for the role American companies can and are playing.
Joining me to discuss this context, history and what American business and policy leaders can do to support the Iranian people is my colleague Omri Rahmil, author of our biweekly Avisa Insight.
Host: Daniel Flesch, Principal at Avisa US office in Washington, DC
Guest: Omri Rahmil, Senior Director
