While body image can be a concern for both men and women, it has been a significant issue, particularly for women, due to societal pressures and cultural expectations surrounding beauty and appearance.

Women's body image has been heavily influenced by media, advertising, and social norms, which often promote unrealistic and idealized standards of beauty. These standards typically emphasize thinness, youthfulness, and specific body proportions that can be unattainable for many women. As a result, many women may experience body dissatisfaction and engage in behaviors such as dieting, extreme exercising, or even developing eating disorders to try to achieve these ideals.

Today’s conversation is with Nina Manolson who a Body-Peace® coach. She helps people end the war with food and body and finally feel truly at home in their body—as it is. She is known for her deeply feminist, anti-diet, body-peace approach.
