The Awakened Soul Podcast

What if the walls you built to protect yourself are the very thing keeping you lonely?

In this episode of The Awakened Soul, host Haize breaks down the avoidant attachment style—a deeply misunderstood pattern rooted in emotional neglect, survival, and learned independence. Avoidant individuals often appear strong, self-reliant, and emotionally detached—but beneath that exterior is a desire for connection paired with a fear of losing oneself.

We explore:

• Why avoidant people struggle with intimacy and trust
• How childhood emotional neglect shapes adult relationships
• Why avoidants withdraw when things get “too close”
• How partners experience emotional distance and shutdowns

Most importantly, we shift from awareness to healing using the B.L.U.E. Method:

• Build healthier emotional habits
• Listen beyond your emotional triggers
• Unlearn survival patterns that no longer serve you
• Embrace vulnerability instead of running from it

If you’ve ever been told you’re “too distant,” “emotionally unavailable,” or if closeness feels overwhelming—this episode is for you.

Healing starts with awareness. Growth begins with courage. 💙
