Mystery Still Unsolved

The Axe Man of New Orleans

Listen Later

In the late 1910's a dark entity began terrorizing the, usually jovial, city of New Orleans. Some called him a dark spirit. Others called him the boogeyman. But the killer himself wanted to be known simply as: The Axe Man. In his 18 month reign of terror it is believed he attacked at the very least 12 people and killed 6 (I think it's way more but you've gotta listen to the episode to hear why!) He also sent a bizarre letter to the press making March 19th, 1919 one of New Orleans most hoppin' nights in its history.... So, what are you waiting for? Let's "Jazz It" Baby!
