In the first WampCast of the school year, Shannon and Maria interview Lauren Kaye. Over the summer, Lauren, with other Braintree Alumni started a group called "A Better Braintree". Through a petition on change.org, the "A Better Braintree" group led an initiative to change the Braintree High Mascot. As a result, Braintree High School will no longer be using Native American imagery, but the "Wamp" nickname remains.

Have an opinion on the big news regarding our mascot? Are you disappointed in the decision or excited for the change? Somewhere in the middle? Contribute YOUR voice to the WampCast by calling and leaving a voicemail at (857) 302-4031!
