Meet our guest: Gary Davies
With over 30 years of experience in specialty materials, Gary Davies is a recognised leader in the industry. He began his journey at Sandvik more than two decades ago — an organisation that spun off Alleima in 2022 — which has since played a pivotal role in advancing materials innovation for medical applications.
Gary holds master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, and Business Administration. For nearly a decade, he served as President of Alleima’s medical business unit, and has recently stepped into the role of Vice President of Strategic Business Development – Medical, where he focuses on long-term growth and innovation in one of Alleima’s core strategic areas.
In 2021, Gary was part of the team honored with the prestigious Wilhelm Haglund Medal for “Product Developer of the Year” within the Sandvik Group. This award recognised their significant contribution with the medical wire program—an achievement that stood out across Sandvik’s global portfolio for its impact on product development and innovation.
