As ever an absolute pleasure to have the force of nature that is Rob Wainwright back on for a chat. We catch up of course on all things Doddie Aid, particularly his latest made challenge when he'll be cycling from Murrayfield to Rome for the Italy v Scotland game on 8th March! 

We also learn of a new drink of Norfolk Nog and some chaos over in Coll due to it along with sizing up Scotland's 6 Nations chances ahead of what turned out to be a wild opening weekend win! Also touch on potential plans for Doddie Aid 2025 already, and how we can "awaken the Kraken" that is Team Glasgow for a shot at the title :) 

Massive tip of the cap to all who've been involved in another awesome Doddie Aid effort both for the miles and money raised. It all goes to helping the efforts of those trying to find treatments and ultimately a cure for MND. 

This is the penultimate episode of this seasons Doddie Aid campaign, only fitting that we have a sit down with our favourite Scotland  International the one and only Zander Fagerson.

We manage to cover everything from fitting in his Dobbie Dook around a family lunch, our Doddie Aid miles to all things Scotland in this years 6 Nations Championship but most importantly we may have to arrange a Back Bar testimonial for the Zander given his appearance numbers.

As always a pleasure to chat with Zander and wishing him all the best of the 6 Nations this year, am sure he'll make us proud.

It's hitting mid-season in Doddie Aid 2024 so the lads caught up with Doddie Aid and Team Glasgow stalwart, and the man with the voice behind some of Scotland's Euro 2024 qualifying iconic moments, Rory Hamilton. 

We hear how he's getting on with his miles, a suggestion, nay plea, for difficulty bonus miles to be introduced and thoughts of Doddie Aid 2025 going worldwide...With the six nations coming up we get some thoughts on Scotland's chances there and of course some Euro 2024 chat. Perhaps more specifically John McGinn chat, but same same.

The lads are back after a brief hiatus, and make their first foray into the world of professional golf, as they are joined by Scottish golfer, Richie Ramsay. 
A great insight into touring the globe with a bag of golf sticks, the idea of a Golf Rage Cam, and a return of the usual Heroes and Zeros/ Speedround gets the lads back into the swing (swing...see what we did there? Golf? Cool) of things, with Doddie Aid creeping up on us in Jan 2024

Next up at The Back Bar is a man who's been to the Olympic & Commonwealth Games, the rugby 7s World Cup, Guinness Pro12, Six Nations and a rugby 15s World Cup coming up later this year. He's Scotland physio and all round top lad, Ally Little.

Amongst other things, we chat Olympic pressures, being part of the last few Calcutta Cup games, whether Ally was in one of Mini's shoulder surgeries, and how the first of Scotland's world cup training camps has gone. 

The ever competitive heroes and zeros has some interesting candidates this week, and our esteemed guest nails a 10/10 in the speed round too. Listen in to learn a bit and laugh a bit more.

This one's been a long time coming as we finally caught up with Tom McGuire, the man behind our awesome intro music and frontman of Tom McGuire & The Brassholes!

We can also confirm it was well worth the wait as we hear about interactions with none other than The Nature Boy Ric Flair, the latest album and also look ahead to a massive gig at Glasgow's O2 Academy later this year. There's a whole heap more squeezed into this chat too!

Unsurprisingly we here at The Back Bar have an affinity with having a bit of a tipple, so who better to join us this week than the whisky sibling duo of Gordon and Ally Stevenson, the co-founders of Turntable Whisky. 

They've just released their first three "tracks" earlier in April, so we sat down to discuss all things uisge beath with these handsome fellas. This was a great chat, learning about the inspiration behind the launch of Turntable and the magic of blended whisky!

We kick back into gear after Doddie Aid by welcoming former professional rugby player, american football kicker, and founder of Leader Kicking Academy, Tadhg Leader to The Back Bar. 

It's a great chat through Tadhg's journey from the Connacht Academy all the way to starting his own kicking academy, via rugby and american football stints in Italy, USA, Canada and Poland! A well travelled man, and as you can imagine some interesting stories to go with that. 

Heroes and Zeros returns, but in a slightly tweaked format this time to showcase our "skills" for Tadhg. Not sure any of us are getting enlisted with Leader Kicking anytime soon...
