December 21, 2018 Episode 17 - Freelance Wrestling’s 2 Legit 2 Quit, Beating Up GPA, and Broken Cameras!
It’s a rarity on the BSB show as we took a sidetrack from talking about AAW as usual to discuss Freelance Wrestling! But wait, Trent doesn’t work for Freelance, hell he doesn’t even watch Freelance, how the hell is he going to do a show about it!? Well we have no idea either but hey we sure as hell tried! It’s a good thing Basil works for them or else we’d be screwed!
Freelance presented Too Legit to Quit from the Logan Square Auditorium on December 14th 2018. What makes this perspective interesting is that AAW also runs the same venue, which the boys have a great perspective on, so the podcast this week focused on the subtle differences and the nuances between the two shows as a result of changes in the building and presentation coming out of it.
With Basil being ringside for photography, Trent assumes the perspective of the fan who has never been to Freelance or may be new to the product, in order to learn more about what goes into their shows and makes the company what it is.

December 10, 2018 Episode 16 - AAW Last Call: Baguettes, Belts, and Farewells!
One more round, one more sip, one more time, it’s LAST CALL! The FINAL SHOW at the historic Knights of Columbus hall in LaSalle, IL has taken place as AAW bid farewell to the town in style and of course your pals Trent Zuberi and Basil Mahmud were front and center making it happen!
We had DJ’s winning championships, legends returning to the ring, and even guys hitting other guys with loaves of bread! You read that right, loaves of bread! Needless to say we left LaSalle in style and with enough memories to last a lifetime!
It was a fun ride while it lasted. We made some memorable moments, broke a few hearts (and a few bones!), made a lot of friends and had a ton of fun. Thank you, LaSalle but it’s LAAAAAST CAAAAALL!

November 16, 2018 Episode 12 - AAW Legacy 2018 & MLW Fightland
It was an insanely busy week for the Backstage Boys! As we geared up for our second to last show at the Knights of Columbus in Lasalle, IL to make sure everything was as special as can be, Basil made his debut for MLW at their TV tapings in Chicago from the Cicero Stadium and Trent had a gig with his band HEMI right before hitting the road for Lasalle!
We discussed Basil's MLW experience and how Trent missed his the meeting he's been waiting 30 years to have with the legendary Tony Schiavone! The boys also went into detail about AAW Legacy and producing segments throughout the night to make sure every last moment in Lasalle will be a memorable one!
