Today I'm joined by Ahuva Hershkop to discuss the societal expectations and cultural norms surrounding parenthood (especially motherhood) that can create the pressure to constantly de-prioritize yourself, which can lead to burnout.
The "mom hustle culture" is a real phenomenon, where mothers are expected to not only work full-time jobs, but also take care of the household and their children, all while sacrificing their own needs and wants.
This is a perfect recipe for burnout.
Instead of "having it all" - which is really just perfectionism with a Wonder Woman bow on top - being transparent and honest about your struggles and failures (as a mom and an entrepreneur!) builds a stronger connection with your audience and creates a community of people who support and believe in you, instead of just the perfect image you might be tempted present. After all, when you're building a business in a way that doesn't align with who you really are, it feels infinitely worse and becomes WAY harder than it has to be.
Tune in today for…
- The societal expectations of women that are causing burn out
- The most common first place women lose our power & how to take it back
- How to stop the hustle happening in your brain
- Busting the "overnight success" and "effortless ease" myths
- How to build the self-trust that changes the game in parenting & business
- The most powerful way to take off the pressure of marketing & selling
& so much more!
