The Final Whistle: Why Hasn't Ty Simpson Won the Job? Where is Earl Little Jr? Alabama LB Battle!

The quarterback battle at Alabama has been a tight one. Jalen Milroe seems to have taken the lead. Ty Simpson came to Tuscaloosa riding a huge wave of promise. Many thought that he would be the hands down choice for QB1. That isn't the case. Why is that? We look at what may be hindering Simpson from taking over.

One of the most improved positions for Nick Saban this off season has been the secondary. That group was a weakness the past few seasons. It doesn't appear so anymore. Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold are a few reasons why. After the A-Day, fans got a glimpse of just how good Earl Little Jr could be. He looked as though he would be the final installment of "no fly zone". However, during fall camp, he has gone silent. We aren't hearing much from him. So, what's going on?

There is an intense battle at linebacker going on between Trezmen Marshall and Jihaad Campbell. The both are making it hard for Nick Saban and Kevin Steele to make a decision. So, we will decide for them!

This week's winner of "Final Whistle Top Fan" is Jay "Luscion" Roepke. He will sit with us to ask question and give his analysis!

The Final Whistle is hosted by former Alabama players Matt Caddell & Chris James, Dan James, Justin Riley, Senordor "Coach Smook" Hines, and Ty Hayes.

The Bama Standard: Saban's Mind Made Up? Fall Camp Wrap Up! Alabama Legend Tony Dixon!

Two scrimmages are now complete. Stars are starting to emerge for Alabama. Jalen Milroe appears to be taking a commanding lead at quarterback. However, Ty Simpson, Tyler Buchner, and Dylan Lonergan may have something to say about it! The running back room is stacked, but there's a Crimson Tide ball carrier who's making a lot of noise, Jam Miller! Will he become the lead back? While we have questions, Coach Saban may already have his mind made up. We debate that possibility!

This is the last full week of Alabama Fall Camp. Next week, preparations for Middle Tennessee State will begin. At this point, what are Tommy Rees, Kevin Steele, and Nick Saban looking for? How will the Crimson Tide close out camp? We talk about it!

Last year, there were several players in the minds of fans who were underutilized or misused. Now they have a chance to shine under Rees and Steele. Who are those players who can break out in 2023?

This week, we are joined by Alabama legend and former Dallas Cowboys safety Tony Dixon! We talk about his career and get his take on the current team.

Nick Saban issued a challenge, demanding that someone force him to play them. Did that happen today?

In the last scrimmage, Nick Saban was visibly upset because of inconsistencies across the board. One of the targets of his rage were the wide receivers. How did they perform today? Malik Benson, Amari Niblack, Kendrick Law, and Shazz Preston have been turning heads. Was that the case today?

The Bama Standard: Jalen Milroe is QB1? Eye Witness Recap of Alabama Scrimmage! Guest Corey Miller!

Things are heating up for Alabama is kickoff quickly approaches for the 2023 season. Despite recent comments by Nick Saban, it appears that Jalen Milroe may be pulling away in the quarterback race. Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner are conceding yet. However, we take a look at what may be pushing Milroe ahead.

Per reports, it look as though Kevin Steele has the Crimson Tide defense clicking on all cylinders. They appear to be ahead of the offense in terms of progression. Recently, players like Jaheim Oatis, Justin Eboigbe, Devonta Smith, and Trezmen Marshal have been leading the way. How good is this defense going to be?

It appears as though new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will have his work cut out for him. The wide receivers continue to struggle with consistently catching the ball. Legend Fernando Bryant: What Alabama DBs Kool-Aid McKinstry & Terrion Arnold NEED for a BIG YEAR!

Legend Fernando Bryant was a 3-time All-SEC performer while at Alabama and won a Super Bowl. He also had some legends as Crimson Tide teammates in the secondary: Deshea Townsend and Kevin Jackson. They were All-American and All-SEC performers as well in the late 90’s. As great as they were, they needed one specific thing that allowed for that success. Bryant also believes that same thing is needed for Kool-Aid McKinstry and Terrion Arnold to replicate or exceed that success. It just so happens that Nick Saban and Kevin Steele have those ingredients. He and former Alabama linebacker Marvin Constant reveal what they are in this video!
