What's up everybody and Welcome back to The Beard and The Bun Podcast!

The Beard here and today's episode is a mix of a 75 Hard update, as well as an introduction to a new concept I've been thinking of called, The Audit.

Now, if you have been following my 75 Hard/Live Hard journey on my personal social (linked below), you are aware that The Bun and I started our second round of the program back in June, 2022. As you'll hear, I have personally failed 3 times since then and these failures have inspired the creation of the Audit.

Simply put, The Audit is something that I am going to start doing at the end of episodes where I review what went wrong, what went right and where I can improve at in the future. You will see a live example of this concept throughout this episode, as I break down why I failed, what I learned and how I adjusted my gameplan heading forward.

Currently I am going strong on day 49/75, my final day is November 30th and as for The Bun, she starts Phase 1 on the 13th of this month!

In closing, I again want to express gratitude toward not only the fans of this podcast, but also to everyone that has supported & doubted me on this journey. I strive to be the example by which people can measure possibility and I will live the rest of my life this way.

Summary: This is my recollection of the events that transpired leading up to when my grandmother Jackie passed away.

Jackie, also known as "Nanny," was the glue that held my dad's side of the family together. Her hospitality and level of caring for all of those around her was truly inspiring and has played a huge role in everything I do today. Now, You may be wondering why I felt the need to share this paper with you, as it may be uncomfortable for some to hear.

Simply put, I wanted to share this with all of you to show the impact that Nanny had on my life, as well to encourage everyone to carry out any unfulfilled promises they may have made in their lives.

Hello everyone and welcome back to The Beard and The Bun Podcast!

In honor of suicide awareness month, I have decided to create a miniseries that shares my own struggles with suicidal thoughts and the methods I utilized to rid them from my psyche. The miniseries is called Tales From The Dark Side (TFDS).

LEGAL DISCLAIMER: First and foremost, I am in no way shape or form, a licensed psychiatrist or doctor. I am a permanent work in progress and simply sharing the methods and tactics that have helped me personally. The techniques and methods discussed within this episode have had the focus group of one, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. These episodes are not a scientific report of brain function, but rather a framework for observing metacognition (awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes). These episodes do not serve as a replacement for therapy, so please consult with your doctor or psychiatrist before you employ any techniques discussed.

Legal aside, I want to make it clear that this miniseries is NOT for pity or to play victim. This is to show people that even the happiest and most positive people you know have their own internal battles. This is also to show that if you keep pushing through, it truly is worth it on the other side.

In this episode, I cover my first battle with suicidal thoughts, then I reflect and break down why I think I felt the way I did. I then cover what helped me overcome those thoughts, as well as my take on root causes of suicide, and I finish out with methods to help you win your own battles.

Being someone who has had his fair share of mental battles, this month means a lot to me, especially because I realized the true beauty of living and I want everyone else to experience this as well.
