On Thursday afternoon, Baylor basketball was knocked out of the Big 12 tournament in the quarterfinals by Iowa State, the third time Baylor has fallen to the Cyclones this season, each loss coming in convincing fashion. The Bears have won just one Big 12 tournament since 2017. Jalen Bridges put up a terrific offensive performance, scoring 28 points including seven made three-points. But the rest of the offense couldn't muster much up. And Baylor's defense didn't fare much better, allowing Iowa State to grab 20 offensive rebounds.
So what is next for Baylor? Can they still make a deep run in the NCAA tournament, or is the slow finish to the season a bad sign of the Bears' March Madness hopes? What does Baylor need to improve and who are the teams we would and would not like to see in potential second weekend matchups? We discuss those questions and more.
