The Beat 92.5 FM's CJ Jerome seeks a council seat in Candiac

Born and raised on the South Shore, Christin Jerome (known affectionately to listeners as "CJ") has been a mainstay on Montreal radio for many years. She now hosts weekend mornings on The Beat 92.5 FM. CJ has decided to try her luck at politics and she is presently a candidate for council in the City of Candiac.
Fortunate to work in my hometown for 25 years at CJAD, Mix 96, CJAD, 940News, Global News and for 20 years with current employer Cogeco.
While an announcer and then Program Director at K103 Kahnawake, my career became all about serving the community.
After 7 years on The Beat’s number one workday afternoon show, I was re-assigned. The lighter schedule allows me to continue serving the community on a more larger level.
Candiac will go to the polls for first time since 2013. I’ve lived here for for 20 years. My house is actually located in the site of a wooded area that we used to play in as kids. The stakes are high this election, with 2 parties and 2 independent candidates. The parties have very different outlooks and agendas. I want to make sure the citizens have their own agenda and I hope I’m the one to carry it to the council chamber.
