In this sermon, we begin an eight-week journey through one of the most revolutionary teachings of Jesus—the introduction to the Sermon on the Mount. The Beatitudes are more than poetic wisdom; they are a radical reordering of values in the Kingdom of God. While the world chases power, comfort, and recognition, Jesus declares that true blessing belongs to the poor in spirit, the mourners, the meek, and the persecuted.

Rather than a list of rules or religious achievements, the Beatitudes call us to a deeper way of life—one shaped by grace, dependence on God, and the unshakable reality of His kingdom. In this sermon, we unpack what it means to be truly blessed and how Jesus invites us to live not by the world's metrics of success but by the values of the King.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3)

True blessing isn’t about external success but about living in God’s favor, grace, and presence. The Beatitudes remind us that before Jesus commands anything, He blesses—not based on what we’ve done, but on what He has done for us.
