While the world chases power, comfort, and recognition, Jesus declares that true blessing belongs to the poor in spirit, the mourners, the meek, and the persecuted.

Rather than a list of rules or religious achievements, the Beatitudes call us to a deeper way of life—one shaped by grace, dependence on God, and the unshakable reality of His kingdom. Generosity isn’t simply about giving—it’s about aligning our hearts and lives with God’s purposes. Honoring God with our resources is an act of worship, a demonstration of trust, and a reflection of the Gospel’s transforming power.

We’ll explore how the blessings we receive from God are not for hoarding or self-satisfaction but for returning to Him in faith and gratitude. This message is not just for the church as a whole but for every individual who desires to live as a faithful steward of what God has entrusted.

"Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine." (Proverbs 3:9-10)

One of the reasons we lack generosity as a people of God is because we are at war with a culture that is materialistic and self-indulgent. To consider giving to the kingdom of God seems like a waste of our wealth in light of what can be achieved in the here and now. But what does Jesus and the Bible say about holding riches in this age with this type of heart? Why does it matter? Let’s dive in.
