Today, we cover the fifth beatitude--Mercy. We notice just how different mercy is from grace. We notice also, that we need to look at the two main ways mercy is described in the Bible. Mercy involves forgiveness and also the extent of the cost of alleviating the pain, suffering and trouble of someone else, because you empathize with them. The amazing part of this is if you never experience mercy from a glorious God you will struggle to give mercy. So, what can you do to overcome the lack of empathy you have?
