In Genesis 28:1-16 we see Jacob  running away from his brother.This was after Isaac their father had blessed him instead of his brother Esau. It got dark and he needed to rest for the night.He did not know that God was with Him where he rested .

Provided we are running not necessarily from something like Jacob was, but as long as  our inner man is not at rest, full of activity,we may not be able to tell  of what's precious in our current moments- our today.Like Jacob we might not know when God is with us nor hear his voice.We may also not be able to see the little pleasures he presents to us every day for us to enjoy.3 John 1:2  says....Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

As you pursuing prosperity in all things  and forgetting to pursue that which prospers your soul?
