The early church believed that patience is the greatest of all virtues and the true companion of wisdom. The challenge for us in the 21st century is that our society has been engineered for impatience. We expect quick results and we hate being denied, disrupted or delayed. But this is not the way of Christ. God has called us to a more beautiful way of living.
