This is part 2 of our deep dive into Hebrews discussing the Gospel and Hebrew Roots. Last week we finished chapter 1, now we start on chapter 2 and see how far we can get. Looking forward to discussing issues surrounding faith and works, the sabbath, and the greatness of Jesus Christ.

Don’t miss it, and as always, live Q&A for anyone in the chat who catches it live.

Remember those deep dives into Galatians and Romans to show how the Gospel is taught there and how it doesn't line up with some Hebrew Roots teachers' views of the Gospel?

If you don't, you should check those out. Back here in the present, it is my pleasure to bring the next part of that series to you, as we dive into Hebrews, showing how the Gospel of Christ's kingdom is the same here as we saw in Romans and Galatians, and how Hebrew Roots teachers still can't walk through a text without jumping all over the place to avoid what it says. This is going to be great. Join live at 10:30 pm ET to be part of the show in the Q&A.

Leighton Flowers of Soteriology 101 is on a mission to refute Calvinists. Recently he posted a clip attempting to answer Calvinists who agree with John Piper on the 2 wills of God.

In this episode of Beginning of Wisdom Live, I’ll be evaluating Flowers’ arguments about judicial hardening and his charge that Calvinists are illegitimately generalizing on specifics, among other things. Is Calvinism truly built on such a flimsy foundation?

G Steven Simons, of Triumph in Truth, teaches the high heresy of works-righteousness, meaning that one has to add works to faith in order to be saved and right with God. He is a Hebrew Roots/Torah Observance teacher, who came from the prosperity gospel world of Joel Osteen.

In a previous episode, I exposed this to be the case, and have been told by numerous commenters that I am wrong, but nobody seems to know why. In this episode of Beginning of Wisdom Live, I examine several of Simons’ sermons, highlighting his inability to simply quote the text when it fails to live up to his demands of it, and simply adds theology not found in the text at all in order to prop up his error.
