What are contradictions?

: the act of saying something that is opposite or very different in meaning to something else (Merriam Webster).

Basically it is saying you stand for something and yet you're doing something in the exact opposite. "I don't like soda, but I drink it everyday". It's contradictory, because how do you hate something you drink everyday?
