Snyder hosts as Dave and Bohmbach take on Gabe Pulver and Jamie Hirsh from the Menschwarmers podcast in a game featuring Jewish Sports Quarterly All-Stars. Gabe names Bohmbach a “Mike Jacobs All-Star” (sounds Jewish but isn’t), along with hammer toss champ Ethan Katzberg. In the first quarter, Luks reveals Bob Geldof’s unknown child, Zach, and Gabe recalls Charles Barkley racing Dick Bavetta. During a second-quarter Missing Link, Gabe remembers Remember the Titans, and guesses that the Jewish link might somehow be related to papal names. In halftime, we learn that Nemo’s dad came up with the theory of relativity, and that the star of a Fish Called Wanda could have been Jamie Lee …Schwartz??? The third quarter sees both teams go deep in the very shallow pool of Jewish Quarterbacks, as the Menschwarmers unwrap the kimono on Scott Zolak, and query (quite un-Jewishly, I might add) that if Charlie Whitehurst was clipboard Jesus, was his dad David “clipboard God”? In a very Luks moment, David makes a pop culture reference to Allan Sherman, who did “Harvey and Sheila.” The Menschwarmers answer at least two questions correctly because of Jewish Geography, and while kibbitzing in the fourth quarter, David shares that, contrary to popular belief, he was not at the 1946 All-Star Game, because it was his Bar Mitzvah. No one gets Snyder’s clue on the last question, and we end by exchanging misdelivered mail. #philiproth #riseball #demardiedforthis #Jewishgeography #MichaelJordon #LuksisBostonPops
