Josh hosted a nail-biter of a game in which the Benchwarmer team of Matt and Scott were challenged by the Tag Team duo of Davo and Kels from the Brain Ladle Trivia Podcast. We found out that Kels isn't to be messed with when it comes to Oscar winners and that Davo likes to check in answers early without the assistance of his teammate (he probably should have waited). We also learned that there can be three Dean's Lists that can't be completed and that Matt tries to cheat in the Missing Link by submitting two themes at once...Nice try, Matt!
Eric hosted a great game in which we learned that Raiders owner, Mark Davis does not have great hair, The 2000 NBA draft was NOT one of the all time greats, and that an NFL punter used to keep a candy bar in his shoe. We discuss every tight end in the NFL, and seem to confuse the two Ohio NFL teams. And now I am getting hungry. Guest Mike Williams teams up with Josh, against the team of Scott and Mason.
Guest Andrew Thomas joins Benchwarmer Scott against Eric and Josh on the bench. Mason hosts a game where the teams reveal their disdain for Lizzo and for Mason's Matt-esque questions, Eric manages to pull out an answer with an assist from his dad, and Scott shows off his pipes during halftime.
We welcome guests Jeremy Cahnmann and Michael Searles to the bench for this episode. Eric hosts a game featuring: Doc River's sweatshirt, ESPN anchors in a Hootie & the Blowfish video, another Kevin Costner movie question that Scott loved, the only goal song anyone knows about any other team in the NHL (damn you Chelsea Dagger!!!), and the many different meanings of the 500 club.
The group welcomes Matt Coleman to the bench, Dan hosts his first Benchwarmer game while slaying it with his singing talents and the undefeated duo of Scott & Eric defend their benchwarmers title. We also learn fun things like: Where Hobey Baker went to college, why Hobey Baker liked tigers, and who Hobey Baker is. Stay tuned to the very end for a special musical treat from Dan! :-)
Jonathan Oakes of Oakes Media Group joined this game that Scott hosted. In the episode we learned who the current 76ers GM is, who the top ten ESPN anchors are, and that Jonathan knows a lot about the Jaguars and Rays! And we officially confirm that the podcast is definitely into Brooks Koepka!
Josh B. was the host for this week’s game, with the Benchwarmer team of Mason and Scott taking on the team of Benchwarmer Eric and Guest Dan Snyder. We learned that Dan is not a fan of baseball (at all) and that he had to rely on Eric to “carry him” for those questions. It was a close game all the way down to the last question of the fourth quarter.
Scott tells us how much he REALLY likes the show Pitch (that you can watch on Hulu), and hosts a great game. The NOLA boys, Mason and JJ team up against the Northern Alliance of Dan and Matt. In the episode we learned about athlete siblings, verify that the Dolphins make Darius Rucker cry, and that if Matt just says the name of random baseball players, he'll eventually find his way to an answer.
Josh hosts a 1 on 1 on 1 show pitting Mason v Matt v Eric. In it we learn more about cricket, who killed the queen in The Naked Gun, that Arsenal is very good, the Mariners are very bad, and everyone wonders what kind of person has never seen The Sandlot.
