Pennsylvania has been at the forefront of the fracking revolution over the past decade and a half, producing energy that has benefitted the state, the region, and the nation. Despite the fact that fracking has proven safe, PA Gov. Tom Wolf has banned new drilling on state lands, supported decisions to ban production in the Delaware River Basin, and is attempting, through executive action, to force Pennsylvania into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). RGGI has resulted in higher energy prices and lost jobs in every state that joins it. Republicans and the Commonwealth Foundation are fighting Wolf's efforts, defending property rights and economic progress in the process.
