I explain what happens when you get a 'fit to fly' test in Torrevieja and Benidorm, what happens at Alicante Airport and then what self-isolation back in the UK involves.

I write psychological thrillers, sci-fi & non-fction books.
My book Friends Who Lie is a psychological thriller based in Benidorm.
It's a UK-centric book which celebrate all we love about this wonderful resort.
You may never look at the Benidorm Cross the same way again :-)
Find out more about Friends Who Lie at https://viewbook.at/FriendsWhoLie
PS You can also order it via any book shop if you prefer paperbacks.
Here are 10 x practical tips to use whenever you stay in Benidorm.
We've learned these over 10+ years of staying in Spain - they can come in handy!
1 - Mercadona have great toilets which are clean, free and before the tills so you don't have to shop to use them.
2 - Use the ordering machine in McDonalds, KFC & Burger King and make sure you press the Union Jack icon so you can order in English.
3 - Use Revolut for simple & cheap GBP > EURO cash transfers - see https://paulteague.net/revolut (my referral link)
4 - Use Mercadona to order your shoping online and have it delivered direct to your accommodation
5 - You need to place your bags in the lockers provided when you shop in Spanish supermarkets
6 - Use an 'old lady' shopping trolley - everybody does in Spain!
7 - Get on buses at the front, get off them in the middle
8 - There are ticket machins inside the trams
9 - Look out for the Menu Del Dia when ordering food in Spain, they're excellent value
10 - Know where the fuses are located in your Spanish accommodation, they trip regularly :-)

Sebastian was a medical translator at the private Hospital Quirónsalud in Torrevieja before starting Torrevieja Translators.
