Bernie chats with Football Outsiders editor-in-chief Aaron Schatz to preview Super Bowl LVII. Aaron offers up why he thinks the Chiefs will prevail in a close game. Aaron points to Patrick Mahomes as the difference-maker despite a strong Philadelphia secondary. Aaron also profiles how the Eagles' strong running game will stack up against an improved Chiefs run defense.

Bernie is getting excited for Super Bowl LVII. Bernie offers up some of his favorite stats and keys to the game for each team. He points out how in this matchup of All-Pro quarterbacks, the #1 has never beaten the #2 and how the regular season MVP (Patrick Mahomes in 2022) has never won a Super Bowl this century.

Ahead of Thursday's announcement of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023, Bernie takes a look at why there are so few St. Louis pro football players in the hall of fame. Bernie points out how there are teams that have had far more winning seasons than St. Louis that have had fewer hall of famers. Bernie says it's okay to be frustrated with how long it's taking Torry Holt to get selected, but says it's part of the process.

Bernie listens in to some of Doug Armstrong's comments from his earlier media ZOOM after the Blues traded Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola to the New York Rangers for a package featuring first and third round draft picks and Sammy Blais. Bernie agrees that the time was right to trade Tarasenko, and speculates that this is just the first move to go down ahead of the trade deadline.

Bernie visits with 590 The Fan and Bally Sports Midwest Blues Insider Andy Strickland. Andy breaks down the Vladimir Tarasenko trade and explains why he is a fan of the deal. Andy mentions that it was important to make a deal now while Tarasenko was healthy instead of risking injury to hold out for a better deal closer to the deadline. Andy also touches on Tarasenko's legacy from his time with the Blues and takes a look at who else could be dealt before the NHL trade deadline.

Bernie chats with former Rams coach Mike Martz. Mike previews Super Bowl LVII and talks about what he likes from each team. Mike then tells stories from the Rams' 1999 run to the Super Bowl XXXIV championship, and why he believes Torry Holt should be a hall of famer.

Bernie offers up some of his favorite Super Bowl memories after reacting to CBSsports.com's all-time Super Bowl rankings. He comments how there is a distinct Patriots bias in their list. He then turns to talking about Vladimir Tarasenko's legacy. Bernie doesn't foresee Tarasenko's number being retired, but he still likes his chances of making the Blues Hall of Fame.

Bernie is broadcasting from the Friendly's Sports Bar and Grill Kirkwood studio and reacts to the adventure of commuting down Manchester Rd. Bernie then turns his attention to the Blues' trade of Vladimir Tarasenko. Bernie talks about why he likes the trade and why he thinks the Blues couldn't have gotten a significantly better return. Bernie also puts Tarasenko's Blues career into perspective and points out why he deserves to be mentioned amongst the all-time greats.

Bernie questions the Cardinals' handling of young pitching over the years. Bernie questions whether the overuse of Michael Wacha in 2013 led to his shoulder problems that have plagued him throughout his career. He also points to how poorly the club handled Jack Flaherty since he arrived in the majors and laments the lack of young pitching driving the club to low-hanging fruit.

Bernie reacts to Aaron Rodgers going off into isolation to try and determine his future. He then criticizes the Cardinals for being cheap and not doing enough to fortify the team's pitching depth. He questions going after low-hanging fruit versus a proven reliever like Andrew Chafin. He also questions if the questions surrounding Bally Sports Midwest could play a role in reduced spending.
