Who Do You Think You Are?

The best bridge between despair and hope

Listen Later

“The best bridge between despair and hope is a good night’s sleep.”

While there is a certain wit to this statement, it’s all the more powerful because it’s true. So much of our literal suffering comes from inadequate sleep. Some people glibly say, “I’ll sleep when I die,” but the truth is you’re going to die a lot sooner if you don’t sleep adequately and you won’t let your brain repair appropriately along the way.

He also notes, “Inadequate sleep — even moderate reductions for just one week — disrupts blood sugar levels so profoundly that you would be classified as pre-diabetic.”

This podcast focuses on self-exploration and personal identity -- to help you construct who you are, and how you want to feel, think, believe, and behave for yourself. The book Who Do You Think You Are is also available at all major e-retailers, and you can find it at bigselfschool.com/store. Check out our two-hour classes on how to build resiliency, how to discover what you want, how to like yourself more, how to find calm, how to bounce forward after failure, and many more at bigselfschool.com.
