The Best of Brittney Baily & The B100 Morning Show

On this feature of Round the Bend Now & Then, Matt Emery, our local Michiana historian takes us back to a time when Park Jefferson was anything but an apartment complex.

The sprawling property once boasted an appliance king who decided to turn his knack for all appliance to all that is putting! It was once a large golf course!

It was an inexpensive way the whole family could play golf before it was ever a place where hundreds of families now call it home.

We love Connie. Connie loves conspiracies. Therefore, it only makes sense that we give Connie her very own corner for her to share, divulge, and discuss her favorite ones! And yes, her tinfoil hat is super shiny!

Today, she ponders the question that if the Earth's core is filled with lava, then why is the bottom of the ocean so cold?!

Today, she sheds light on the conspiracy that Walt Disney was (or IS?!) cryogenically frozen and Disney created the movie franchise to throw off the icy rumor.

15 year old Lucas loves to mow, his family is involved in 4-H, oh and he LOVES Notre Dame!

His love for Notre Dame runs deep, and he even once dressed like Touchdown Jesus for Halloween!

He was born prematurely at 26 weeks weighing just one pound, but defied the odds. His Mom Jordan shares her pride:

"We are extremely proud of everything he's overcome. Everything they've told us that we didn't think would be an opportunity for him he's take those challenges on and he is hard-headed, and he will take a challenge and push through anything that happens. We're very proud of him."

Lucas has officially signed with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team through Team IMPACT. Head coach Marcus Freeman and the team welcomed Lucas and his family to the program to build a lifelong bond.

Matt Emery is back to share a great Michiana tale where one resident had a plan to MOVE the St. Joe River, yes. MOVE the St. Joe River to help establish a vibrant downtown! Did the plan come to fruition? No, but it showed others to dream big and think outside the box...or outside the river!
