On the Early Breakfast this morning Relebogile spoke to Michelle Constant, CEO of Business and Arts South Africa as they Celebrate 20 years of partnerships, people and connectivity. Michelle also chatted about their various programmes aimed at youth development. 

South African film and TV stars were celebrated and honoured at the 11th annual Saftas ceremony held at Sun City.

The biggest weekend of the local awards season kicked off on Thursday when the first awards were handed.

On Saturday night during a live broadcast on SABC2 small screen and big screen stars received their Golden Horns.

The Road won the Best TV Soap/Telenovela award and Isibaya was voted Most Popular soap by the public.

Junaid Ahmed and Lydia Mokgokoloshi received Lifetime Achievement Award and Jerry Mofokeng won Best Actor in a TV Drama for his role in Heist.

Relebogile had a chat with James Mpele, founder and director of The Diversity Hub, James shared a few techniques to manage generational diversity in the workplace. 

Relebogile had a chat with Vusi Tshabangu - Technical Manager at 3M traffic Safety Division about how they are working to reduce road accidents & raise safety levels.

In December 2016, South Africa’s Transport Minister Dipuo Peters reported that there had been a staggering 17% increase in road accidents compared to the same period in 2015.

Relebogile had a chat with Fanie du Toit, public education and awareness manager at the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) about their call for the recognition and use of different ways to bridge communication gaps between hearing people and persons who are deaf or hearing impaired. 

Around 7.8-million people in South Africa experience hearing loss, World Health Organisation figures show. Of these, about 3.5-million have disabling hearing loss.

Relebogile had a chat with Sean Moodley, National Convener for the Anti-Racism Network South Africa (ARNSA) about Anti-Racism Week 2017 which kickstarts today until the 21st of March March. 

Anti-Racism Week is being hosted for the second time in South Africa from March 14-21, and aims to create mass awareness about tackling  racism

It is hosted by ARNSA, spearheaded by the Ahmed Kathrada and Nelson Mandela Foundations.

Relebogile spoke to Thabang Phetla, Producer and Writer of the ‘Once Upon a Time’ Web Series about their Web series which focusses on various issues facing the youth. 

'Once Upon a Time in Jozi' is a new web series about young Joburgers in the age of social media, fame and relationships. 

The series is about a talented TV director, who uses his position and fame to scores girls online, until one of his couch audition goes horribly wrong.

The series started on 24 February, and will run for 7 weeks with a new episode every Friday from 7am.

Relebogile spoke to Lesego konupi , one of the founders of Bicycle Stokvel  which is a Vosloorus based program that Ignites Youth Entrepreneurship and Culture. 

It brings people together, particularly Township Youth hungry for something different and for a chance to show off their skills. 

The concept is simple and provides a platform to up and coming artists, Musicians, entrepreneurs, and cyclists to showcase their talent.

The Johannesburg international comedy festival makes its return to the Joburg inner city this March, following its postponement in November due to student protests.

In its second year, the festival will showcase some of the best local, African and international comedians hosted in various venues in and around the Braamfontein precinct from 31 March – 1 April. 

Relebogile spoke to Takunda Bimha, Festival Director and up and coming comedian Loyiso Madinga. 

Relebogile had a chat with Ruth Roberts from the department of higher education and training about the New Hungarian Scholarships For SA Students.

An agreement has been signed between the government of South Africa and the Chinese Government to offer fully funded scholarships to South African students to study at selected Chinese institutions.

The scholarships may be awarded for postgraduate (Masters, PhD or Post-doctorate) or non-degree Chinese language studies.
