Scott has been in the note business for awhile. He jumped into the market around 2005, when the market was less than ideal. Initially, he taught people how to do owner financing and to wrap their heads around mortgages. He also co-owned a mortgage company. For his company, 2004 to 2008 was primetime.

The Atlanta market is the hotbed of real estate deals. Although many investors love to invest in the area, there can be a couple of tricky little things that show up and will need careful attention. Scott Carson invites someone who is killing it in what she does to impart with us some helpful tips and tricks on navigating this market. He interviews long-time real estate investor, broker, and coach, Amy Ransdell from the Powerhouse Real Estate team, to talk about the Atlanta, GA real estate market and where she sees the opportunities lie. She also discusses the current trends, how the COVID-19 is affecting the market, and where she sees investors struggling the most. Diving into the systems and strategies to overcome what investing curveballs could come your way, Amy then shares the Four Steps to Efficiency, the follow-up process, and the kind of mindset you have to get into to succeed.
Considering the current circumstances we’re dealing with the pandemic, it would be natural to think how short term rentals are probably one of the worst affected areas in real estate. With travels put on hold, people are opting to stay in their homes, which leaves many investors who are managing short term rental properties quite stunned. In this episode, Scott Carson invites Avery Carl, a real estate investor, realtor, short term rental expert, and CEO and founder of The Short Term Shop, a real estate team that helps investors acquire short term rental properties in the most recession-resistant markets—which is just what you need in today’s world. Avery talks about how they are able to do that, laying down what makes up an ideal market for short term vacation, VRBO, and Airbnb rentals. She further discusses the biggest mistakes investors make when getting into this space, the characteristics of the best market to invest in, the automation tools to help with property management, and more. Listen in to Avery and Scott as they detail more about short term rentals and achieving that Airbnb success.
Real estate tends to be a very male-dominated industry that it can be very difficult for many women investors to break in and make a name for themselves. It is time to change that, especially as more and more women are taking over the investing space. In this episode, Scott Carson talks with real estate investor and the host of The Real Estate InvestHER show and community, Elizabeth Faircloth, about what it is like for women to get into real estate investing. Liz shares her start, struggles, and passion for helping other women succeed in the real estate investment space, shedding light on the ways she overcame obstacles common to women investors. What is more, Liz then talks about the current COVID-19 pandemic we are all facing, giving insights on how it has changed the space and what investors can do to see it through.
With too much competition around, it can be so easy to fall into the trap of going too fast before we ultimately spin out of control. Then again, it helps to be reminded that slow and steady always wins the race. In this episode, Scott Carson brings over someone who has championed this approach to real estate. He interviews real estate investor and host of the Real Estate Investing for Women podcast, Moneeka Sawyer, about how she built a multi-million dollar real estate portfolio from $10,000 against all tides. She talks about remaining blissful even when her properties went completely upside down and how she managed by building a long-term wealth strategy and not the get-rich-quick. Tune into this conversation as Moneeka shares her focus, niche, and best practices that she has instilled in executive housing and overcoming market swings.

Property management may not be the most profitable space in the real estate industry, but someone’s got to do it, right? Luckily, real estate investor and property management expert Dan Butler figured out a way to bring profitability back to property management – by building a virtual team with teammates working remotely. Through this virtual team strategy, Dan went from being a solopreneur trying to do it all to building his own business, CrestCore Realty LLC, which relies on virtual assistants and systems. As a business owner, you are often the most productive person on your team. With the virtual option, you can delegate most of the back office work to your remote team while you focus on the things that you need to worry about the most. Learn how Dan does just that in this interview with host, Scott Carson.
