The Best of The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show with Rob McConnell

Stephen Henderson, neurosurgeon, head of his department at a local medical school, is driving home after a late night visit to the hospital. He is stopped by a police officer and gets out of his car at the officer's request. The officer puts out his right hand as if to shake hands. Henderson responds, then wakes up to find himself in a spaceship, where the "police officer" explains that they are on their way to a parallel universe, where Earth, its people, and solar system are duplicated. Henderson is immediately angry. This is UFO nonsense, he thinks. Extraterrestrial abduction, ridiculous science-fiction. It simply couldn't and doesn't happen! We might have agreed with him, but - he is forced to change his opinion. Why? What happened? Dr. Henderson is abducted to perform an operation on a powerful political leader, which he does, successfully. But unexpectedly this success leads him into a situation where his life and return to Earth are threatened. The assistant surgeon at the operation is a beautiful woman who is attracted to Henderson, not knowing who he really is, and she is drawn into his struggle to escape. He also does not find her unattractive. Stephen Henderson is returned to Earth, persuaded by his encounters that he was indeed away in outer space, and that others are "out there." After reading On the Way Home, will we be as convinced as he is? - www.othersinspace.com

Sex. Drugs. Loud music. Wild costumes. Dazzling light shows. These words can all describe a great rock concert or a hot dance club, but they were also part and parcel of the ancient cultural phenomenon known as the "Mystery religions." In this book, author Christopher Knowles shows how the long-dead Mystery religions got a secular reincarnation when a new musical form called rock 'n' roll burst onto the scene. Knowles shows how the Mysteries prefigured subcultures as diverse as Santeria, Freemasonry and Mardi Gras, and explains exactly how ancient rituals and music found their way to the New World. In the process, The Secret History of Rock 'n' Roll traces the development of rock's most popular genres such as punk and metal, and reveals how many of rock's most iconic artists fill the same archetypal roles as the ancient gods. You'll see how many of the rituals, customs and musical styles of our postmodern society have stunning ancient parallels. You'll meet history's first pop divas, headbangers and guitar heroes and read the untold story of the Puritan Woodstock. Get ready for a wild ride that will take you from the Stone Age to the Space Age.

Jeff attended the East Bay campus of the California State University, the University of California at Berkeley, and the Unversity of Southern Calfiornia, earning a bachelor's degree, two master of science degrees, and a Ph. D. in the medical sciences. He has held positions at various medical schools as a professor medical physiology, reseach associate professor of anesthesiology, and researcher in hyperbaric medicine. These jobs took him west to Hawaii, east to North Carolina, South to Panama City, Florida, and back to Southern California. Moving away from research and academia in recent years, Jeff has had a variety of experiences in intensive care units, rehabilitation centers, and medical clinics in Southern California and San Francisco Bay Area hospitals. Numerous paranormal experiences in hospitals and other clinical settings intensified Jeff's interest in ghosts and after-life phenomena and prompted him to write his first book, Ghost Hunter's Guide to the San Francisco Bay Area. This was followed by his second book, Ghost Hunter's Guide to Los Angeles. Jeff's third book, delayed by Hurrican e Katrina, is Ghost Hunter's Guide to New Orleans. It was released in September of 2007. That highly successful book was followed in June of 2008 with the Ghost Hunter's Guide to Seattle and, in September of 2009, Ghost Hunter's Guide to California's Gold Rush Country. - www.jeffdwyer.com

Scottish-born professional artist who paints images of an inner reality perceived through meditation and claims to be a herald of "the reappearance of the Christ" at the end of the twentieth century. Born in Glasgow in 1922, early in his life Creme became attracted to theosophical literature, especially the writings of Alice A. Bailey. In the 1950s he also joined the Aetherius Society, an occult-oriented flying saucer contact group founded by George King, in which he learned a form of meditation called "transmission" meditation. Throughout the 1950s Creme was in direct contact with the Great White Brotherhood, the assembly of beings believed by Theosophists to guide the destiny of humankind. Creme claimed that in 1959 he received a telepathic communication from his own master, a member of the divine hierarchy, who told him that he would have a part to play in the return of Maitreya, the Christ. (In Theosophy, the person who walked the earth as Jesus, and is called the Christ by Christians, is identified as Maitreya, the bodhisattva whom many Buddhists expect to appear in the near future.) A constant and conscious telepathic link was established with this master, by which Creme received precise and up-to-date information about the reappearance of the Christ, which Bailey had predicted to occur toward the end of the twentieth century. - www.share-international.org

From time to time since the beginning of consciousness, certain universal Principles and Laws have been given to humanity. These Principles and Laws embody the formulated Purpose and organized Will of that unfolding Life in which humanity lives and moves and has its being. In the previous century a restatement of these Laws and Principles was given to Alice A. Bailey by the Tibetan Teacher Djwhal Kuhl, in wording meaningful to our present time evolution. An exploration of the essential differences between principle and law, as these terms are used by the Tibetan, gives a clearer grasp of the process by which the consciousness of humanity is affected, impulsed, and energized. - www.souledout.org

To demystify millennia of science, philosophy, and religion is no easy task. During archaic times and the thousands of years of wisdom; acquired by the priests of Egypt for example, there was no reference to science or philosophy - it wasn't even religion, per se. The nature of existence or of truth and knowledge was not merely the true belief, of ancient Greek philosophy. As civilization moved westward, through the Mediterranean, Europe, and across the Atlantic; the nature of existence or of truth and knowledge, was and still remains in constant and often volatile conflict. It seems the world has settled on believing but understanding where it all came from, remains shrouded in the mists of time. - www.amazon.com

After medical training at the University of Southern California and the Los Angeles County General Hospital, Dr. Kirschner entered medical practice in the San Fernando Valley as a family physician. In 1961 there were very few doctors with his public health experience. This soon led to volunteering in various health related programs, such as the Regional Medical Disaster Program, the Red Cross Disaster and Blood program, the Home Health Association, Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, several committees on biomedical issues, adviser to the California Health Law Revision Committee, Single Payer Health Care for All, Physicians for a National Health Plan, California Physicians Alliance and other health-related activities. He has also written numerous articles, letters and Op Ed pieces and appeared on radio, television and lectured on health care issues at many venues. Recently retired from medical practice, he continues to volunteer for many health oriented community programs. This book is a collection of essays by Dr. Kirschner, regarding some of the many unresolved health care, pharmaceutical and insurance issues that his patients have shared with him during his forty-seven years of family medical practice. In this book, "All Medicines are Poison!," Melvin H. Kirschner, MPH, MD, sets out to remove the fog of confusion that clouds the landscape patients are required to navigate in their search for health care today. This book describes the risks and benefits associated with the use of medicines, and explores the validity of other treatment modalities referred to as "Complimentary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). He discusses the numerous failings and backroom dealings in the pharmaceutical and insurance industries, and highlights possible solutions to many of these current concerns. Dr. Kirschner has had an extensive career in the healthcare field. He has championed patient's rights throughout his career. As one of the key physicians instrumental in the enactment of the first biomedical ethical guidelines in the world, he has always strived for close doctor/patient relationships where the patient's concerns always come first. - http://www.allmedicinesarepoison.com/
