The Best of The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show with Rob McConnell

In religion and mythology, occultism and folklore, a demon (or daemon, daimon; from Greek daimôn) is a supernatural being that is generally described as a malevolent spirit; however, the original neutral connotations of the Greek word daimon does not carry the negative ones that were later projected onto it, as Christianity spread. In Ancient Near Eastern religions as well as in the derived Abrahamic traditions, including ancient and medieval Christian demonology, a demon is considered an "unclean spirit" which may cause demonic possession, to be addressed with an act of exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, which grew out of an amalgamation of pagan Greco-Roman, Jewish and Christian tradition, a demon is considered a spiritual entity that may be conjured and controlled. - www.manaministries.com

Richard Freeman (born Nuneaton, England, in 1970) is a cryptozoologist, author, zoological journalist, and WebTV Presenter. He is also Zoological Director of the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ), and co-edits both the journal, Animals & Men and several editions of the annual CFZ Yearbook. Richard Freeman has written, co-written, or edited a number of books, and has contributed widely to both Fortean and zoological magazines, as well as other newspapers and periodicals, including Fortean Times and Paranormal Magazine. He has also lectured across the UK at events such as the Fortean Times Unconvention, the Weird Weekend, Microcon and at museums such as the Natural History Museum and the Grant Museum of Natural History in London. When interviewed by author Nick Redfern in 2005, Freeman claimed an early obsession with the classic science fiction series Dr Who (with Jon Pertwee) had sparked an interest in all things weird. After school he became a zookeeper at Twycross Zoo in the West Midlands and became head keeper of reptiles, working with more than 400 exotic species from ants to elephants (but with a special interest in crocodilians). After leaving the zoo, he worked in an exotic pet shop, a reptile rescue centre, and as a gravedigger. In 1995, Freeman began studying zoology at Leeds University. Whilst on holiday from the university, he learned of the CFZ and bought a copy of the Centre's journal Animals & Men, which left him impressed enough to subscribe and begin contributing. He eventually became the CFZ's Yorkshire representative and, once the course had ended, moved to Devon to become a full-time member of the Centre. He is now the Zoological Director and co-editor of Animals & Men. - http://www.cfz.org.uk

Parris is a gifted spiritual intuitive. His realization of the paranormal world began when he was very young. At age 8 Parris would go straight to the what was then called 'The New Age & Occult' section of the public libraries and favor the paranormal books over children books. He has always been sensitive to the subtle energies that surround him. As a teenager Parris found him self attracted to the energy of crystals and has worked with them for over 20 years. His self realization of his life's path unfolded while he was in his mid twenties. This path has lead him to study many strict spiritual practices that he has applied to his physical, emotional, mental and spiritual lifestyles for over 16 years. In 1999 Parris had noticed many strange and unusual things that would occasionally manifest in the pictures he was taking. Recognizing and understanding that this was a gift, he soon learned how to focus his energy and apply it towards making a connection between worlds, manifesting and capturing on image many metaphysical occurrences as they enter our world from the unseen realms. Parris is now a Paranormal / Spirit photographer. He is also one of the winners of the International Paranormal Acknowledgment Award for best spirit photography for the year 2009. Parris has also had guest spots and has been featured on talk radio broadcasts. He has captured many metaphysical images while visiting several places such as private & public homes, businesses and historic landmarks and at age 40 Parris says his life has only just begun.

From the dawn of civilization, man has looked for the meaning of existence. The big questions like where did we come from, how should we live, and where do we go when we die, have always captured our imagination and attention. Each generation has been eager to see the disparate ways that divine forces might manifest and come to offer guidance, help, or even harm. The roads taken to find certain truths were varied, ranging from the ridiculous, or horrific and strange, to the sublime. God's Lunatics chronicles the lives of celebrated mystics, martyrs, wizards, shamans, cult leaders, founding fathers of Utopian experiments, victims of demonic possession, and originators of New Age movements who dedicated their lives to seek answers and explain the unknown secrets of the universe. - www.michaellargo.com

In the midst of the Cold War both the Soviets and the Americans employed psychics to spy on each other's activities. These were the so-called remote viewers. Both the CIA and the US Army conducted remote viewing intelligence programs. The US Army's program, known by the code name Star Gate, was initiated in the late 1970's by the gifted natural psychic, Skip Atwater. For ten years Skip was the Operations and Training Officer during which time he recruited and trained an elite group of professional remote viewers, through whom he conducted thousands of intelligence-collection missions. Skip inevitably came into contact with Robert Monroe, the founder of The Monroe Institute. The Monroe Institute dedicates itself to the transformation of human consciousness. A major constituent of this transformation process is in part accomplished through the application of Hemi-Sync technology. The Hemi-Sync is perhaps best known for its capacity to induce an OOBE (Out Of Body Experience), otherwise known as astral projection. More information on the Monroe Institute can be found at http://www.monroeinstitute.org/
