Rebecca underscores key traits of narcissists in negotiation scenarios: a penchant for creating difficulties, constant changes in demands, and a desire for control to feed their ego and uphold their image.

When confronted with a narcissist, Rebecca advocates for the SLAY method:

Set Clear Goals: Clearly define what you aim to achieve in the negotiation.
Leverage: Identify what matters most to the narcissist and threaten their supply that holds more significance than your request.
Anticipate Their Moves: Predict their actions and stay prepared.
Yield the Right of Way: Allow them to believe they formulated the solution.
Rebecca emphasizes that in situations where leverage is lacking, it needs to be created. Narcissists often fear exposure, given their tendency to lie and act impulsively.

Narcissists exhibit a lack of empathy and extreme arrogance, with their confidence serving as a facade concealing deep-seated shame and feelings of worthlessness. According to Rebecca, narcissism is a product of nurture rather than nature, frequently originating from childhood trauma.

The discussion with Javi also explores the antithesis of narcissism, investigating how a genuine sense of value and trust in God can empower individuals to overcome the fear of others' opinions.
