Welcome back to The Better Everyday Podcast where we are unlocking our best self one episode at a time!
In this episode of The Better Everyday Podcast, we step into a conversation that means a lot to us—generosity. With the holiday season here, we want to do more than just talk about generosity… we want to practice it. This year, we’re hoping to come alongside a person or family in need, offering financial help and any additional support we’re able to provide.
We’re asking you, our community, to help us find that family. If you know someone going through a tough season, please share their name and story with us—through the comments, DMs, email, text, whatever works. We’ll be praying over each submission and choosing who we can bless this year.
From there, we dive deep into what generosity truly is. We explore how it extends far beyond money—showing up through our time, our skills, our willingness to listen, our encouragement, and our presence. We talk about the difference between a generous mindset and a scarcity mindset rooted in fear, and how shifting our perspective shapes the way we live.
We also open up about personal experiences—how God has used people to be generous to us in some of our lowest moments, and how incredibly fulfilling it is to be used by God to help someone else. David shares his own early struggles with generosity and the journey of learning to trust God…and trust his wife’s heart for giving. We discuss why generosity feels natural for some and harder for others, and why it’s not just an emotion—it’s a practiced skill that helps us become better every day. Our hope is that this episode inspires you to look around, be intentional, and let gratitude for God’s goodness stir generosity in your own life.
✨ Help us find a family to support this holiday season! Comment, message, email—reach out however you can.
✨ Please share this episode to increase the chances of reaching someone who knows a family in need.
✨ And don’t forget to subscribe, like, comment, and connect with us on social media so you never miss an episode.
Let’s practice generosity together. 💛
