As you guys know that the podcast is all about demystifying the topic of money and sharing powerful money stories from people who truly beat the odds, whatever that might look like, for them, and found financial success today is just me.
So I'm not going to have anyone on the line, just me. I wanted to dive deeply into my experience at Vanguard, specifically my experience in the 529 departments, where we help parents and grandparents save and invest for their kids and grandkids. So I wanted to talk through that.
If you guys have listened to episode number one, you know, my backstory, you know, when my adopted father passed, he didn't have a 401 K, he didn't leave any money to us, he didn't have your brokerage account, he didn't have an IRA. And why I wanted to do that because I started getting a lot of questions recently about you being so passionate about investing for kids. Do you have any kids? And I'm like, No, I love teaching people how to invest for their kids.
Because of that, we didn't have his income when he passed away. And we also didn't have an estate plan; no money was given to us. It was no life insurance; there's no nothing. So because of that, one part of BetterWallet that I'm very passionate about is teaching people how to invest in their kids. So let's get into it.
