The Acts of the Apostles: The Continuing Acts of Jesus Christ Through the Apostles
Acts is focused on the central truth of our faith – Jesus is alive.
Acts 1:7 – Don’t focus on the earthly kingdom – I have things for you to do for the eternal kingdom.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
- Acts 1:8
John 14:25-26 – Jesus said, you will receive power. The Holy Spirit is going to come upon you and things are going to change.
To whom are you taking the message of Jesus?
- Your Jerusalem: family?
- Your Samaria: friends?
- The world?
With the Holy Spirit living in us, we have everything we need to courageously tell others and show others how to follow hard after Jesus.
