“Better to reign in hell than serve in heaven.” This is one of the most famous lines spoken by the character Satan in John Milton’s biblical epic, Paradise Lost. It was also used by the rapper Lil Nas X in the promotion of his Satanic shoe and coinciding music video called Montero. In this episode, Ian talks about Milton’s portrayal of Satan, breaks down some of the Satanic symbolism of Lil Nas X, and explains how the true goal of Satanism is not devil worship but self worship.
