In this episode, we return once again to consider details on John's amazing description of the 144,000 in Revelation 7:1-8.  In particular we consider the priority John seems to place on the tribe of Judah, (by mentioning it first in order), and the picture it draws for a lineage of kings that arise from the tribe of Judah, culminating of course, in the declaration of Jesus, the triumphant Lamb/King of the tribe of Judah.

This week, we continue to examine the 6th seal of the book of Revelation, and its disclosure of the 144,000.  We note both the description presented in chapter 7 as well as the description of the same group in chapter 14.

In this live classroom episode, we consider the Seal of God introduced in Revelation 7:1-4.  After identifying what it is, to whom it is given, and where it is located, we then compare it to the Mark of the Beast found in Revelation 13 and elsewhere..  One of the questions considered is, “can a true believer receive the Mark of the Beast?”

The Sixth seal that Jesus opens has two distinct parts - the terror of the doomed and the bliss of the heavenly redeemed.  In this episode, we consider the solemn even as the doomed "call upon the rocks and the mountains to fall upon us and hide us from...wrath".   

In the next episode we will see the scene from those experiencing just the opposite.

In this episode, we consider what is know as 'the spirit of the Mrtyrs"' as fond in Rev. 6:9-11.  Sometimes it seems as though they are speaking with a spirit of vengeance or of retribution when they cry our '"O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"   

We analyze this statement trying to determine how can "righteous souls made perfect in heaven" exude such a spirit?
