The Bible Workshop

Marvel and DC studios have perfected the story arc of the lovable, powerful superhero. They don’t achieve greatness overnight—they are flawed and often failing, requiring training and discipline. Sounds much like the Christian! Training is an essential part of our walking in God's victory. Have your embraced your training? Join us for a heartfelt prayer as we workshop in Jeremiah 12.

We generally live in a dog-eat-dog world, where survival is the name of the game. But do you know that we are all facing a soon-coming era of perfect peace and harmony? An era of universal peace that will flip the natural laws on their head and fundamentally erase violence, fear, and hostility. But there’s a catch: to experience it, you MUST be on the right side of eternity. Join us for an enlightening workshop of Isaiah 11:1-10.

Culture is bombarded with messages. Many messages are either in direct opposition to the truth of the Gospel or they are a constant distraction from it. These things even have a way of seeping into the Church. We must never allow any influence to divide us from the message of Christ Jesus, His passion and His resurrection. Join us for a workshop of from 1 Corinthians 1!

Jesus prayed an intimate prayer to the Father often called, “The High Priestly Prayer.” On this episode, we continue the prayer as the lens shifts to Jesus' disciples and all followers. If you have accepted Christ as Savior and LORD of your life, this prayer covers you! If you have not, allow this to be a job description of sorts, with a summary of purpose, as you consider a life in Christ. Join us for a purpose-filled workshop of John 17:13-23.

To make an impact in this world, Christians must be consciously and deeply aware of who Christ Jesus is. This is the means to genuine spiritual transformation. Thankfully, Jesus' has revealed Himself throughout His word; one particular instance involves His own prayer concerning Himself, “The High Priestly Prayer.” Join us as we workshop the first unit of this prayer in John 17. Note: we will continue this study in Part 2.

Criticism is inevitable if you are doing... anything! We would all do well to know, from a biblical standpoint, how to deal with it. The Apostle Paul, who was often the target of various slings and arrows, offers an excellent example in 1 Thessalonians 2. Join us as we workshop a passage from this chapter.

Comeback tours are all the rage. But there is a comeback that is greater than any you’ve ever seen. Jesus is coming back. But when? And what do you need to know about it? Join us as we workshop a passage in Matthew 24.

Redemption, the power of buying back or rescuing, is essential to Christian doctrine. Through faith, believers are bought back by God--for a price. Jesus paid that price with His life. But, what about in the Old Testament? Was there redemption then? Join us for a workshop of Joshua 2:1-14, for the redemption story of one highly unlikely individual. From mess to message!

"Self-help" is a 40-60 billion dollar global industry. It capitalizes on selling the idea of success, while its true value is marketing. So, what should you do when you feel weak, afflicted and running low on self-worth? Your heart needs a makeover, which requires Scripture—not a marketing blitz. Join us for a compelling workshop from 2 Corinthians 12.

One of the world’s biggest traditions is religion--which means traditions can have tremendous power over us. We must be cautious, giving careful consideration to the relevance of everything to which we ascribe. Holding everything up to the Light. To Truth. To Christ. Join us as we workshop a passage from Mark 7!
